Houston's Top Sleep Specialsits
Struggling to get a good night's sleep? Do you wake up feeling tired and irritable despite a full night's rest? Have others mentioned your snoring? You may have sleep apnea, a common sleep disorder affecting millions. Snoring can have serious effects, but effective treatments are available to help you rest better.
Sleep apnea, caused by a blocked airway, disrupts breathing, leading to snoring, gasping, or choking. It’s important to note that not all snorers have sleep apnea.
Obstructive sleep apnea interferes with sleep, preventing REM rest and causing insomnia, fatigue, irritability, and depression.
Inspire® is an FDA-approved, CPAP alternative that treats the root cause of obstructive sleep apnea. This small, implanted device keeps your airway open while you sleep, promoting natural breathing and restful nights.
Easily activate therapy with the Inspire™ remote, and track your progress with the Inspire app, which connects directly to your doctor for personalized care.

During sleep, the tongue and airway muscles naturally relax. In obstructive sleep apnea, this relaxation can block the airway, disrupting breathing and causing frequent awakenings. Inspire® therapy works by gently stimulating airway muscles to prevent blockage, allowing for uninterrupted breathing and restful sleep.
Answer a few questions to determine if Inspire is the right therapy for you.
-Are you 18 years of age or older?
-Have you been diagnosed with moderate or severe obstructive sleep apnea?
-Is your body mass index (BMI) under 40?
-Do you struggle with using a traditional CPAP?

Dr. Bailey will perform a routine airway exam to ensure that the Inspire implant will work for you.
In a 90-minute outpatient procedure, the implant will be positioned under the skin through two, small incisions underneath the chin and near the collarbone.
Approximately six weeks after your surgery, you will have a follow-up appointment with your Sleep Specialist, during which your doctor will activate your Inspire therapy device.
Participate in a sleep study to determine if the Inspire implant is working effectively to treat obstructive sleep apnea.
